This Is Love UK is the creative arts ministry of Church Army evangelist Frank McGregor
Frank is from Birmingham where he trained as an actor. He then moved to London and worked at the BBC and around the UK as a professional actor and puppeteer. In 1981 he responded to a call to make Jesus the Lord of his life and began working as a helper with Buzz magazine on the "Save the Siberian 7" campaign. This led to work with other Christian organisations including Master Ski, Spring Harvest, Scripture Union and the Bible Society.
He went on to become a Church Army evangelist leading a church plant in Bath, using all sorts of creative skills and performing arts in his evangelistic work. As part of the church drama group he played the role of Jesus in a new musical mystery play "Beginning to End". (The music accompanying this website's home page is by Max Thomas from the musical).
While in Bath Frank also had a eureka moment coming up with the idea of making sticks of seaside rock with the name of JESUS through the centre (150,000 sticks now used in evangelism). Since 1994 he's worked as a Church Army evangelist in Stoke-on-Trent in parish ministry, and as director of the children's theatre company "Gospel Rocky" touring local schools and churches, turning the stick of rock idea into a larger than life character and taking full scale pantomimes to theatres around the UK. The Gospel Rocky ministry came to an end in August 2008 having performed to thousands of people young and old.
Frank continues to use all forms of performance and creative art to share the gospel through the ministry of "This is Love". As well as being an actor and artist, he is a singer and songwriter. He has written many songs based around bible passages including humourous dramatic songs about Nehemiah and the Good Samaritan (which due to popular demand will shortly be available in the online shop). He is also working on a stage performance of "PSALM" - a CD of Psalms he has set to music available through the online shop. (Click on the PSALM image and
you can listen to all the tracks). The show will present the gospel through a selection of psalms using drama, dance and film such as the video for Psalm 121 which can be seen on YouTube. (Click the logo to watch it now)
